Little Big Town share their support for Tim McGraw and his Sandy Hook benefit, which was announced early last week and quickly received heat from gun rights groups.
“We love you, Tim,” Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild recently told Rolling Stone Country. “You do the right thing, and that’s what you’re doing because it’s about a child and about a family. I just wish people would put the agenda and the hate down.”

Bandmate Phillip Sweet added that it is “depressing” that people have so much time and energy to invest in creating controversy.
“They could be doing better things, like educating their child and loving people in the world instead of attacking someone who’s trying to do something good, like Tim McGraw,” Sweet said. “Why would you want to attack that?”
